Educational Opportunities
Internships The Department offers an internship program to graduate and undergraduate students to complete their internships as part of their educational program. Communities in Schools Additionally, the Department is involved with the Communities in Schools program of the Allentown School District. This program allows underachieving students to work one day per week in various agencies throughout the Lehigh Valley, in both the public and private sector. The students complete various assignments in the Department and learn about the operation of the criminal justice agency. Contact for applicable students should be made through Sandra D. Alternative Education and Diversified Training Program The Department also participates in the Alternative Education and Diversified Training Program through the Lehigh County Vocational Technical School. The students complete clerical activities and gain valuable experience working in the public sector. Contact for applicable students should be made through Debra E.
