Custody cases that are certified for pre-trial and trial are assigned to one of the six judges in the Civil/Motion/Family Court Division. Custody pre-trial conferences are scheduled prior to trial, on days selected by the assigned judge. If a matter does not settle at the pre-trial conference, the case is scheduled for trial. Custody trial weeks are scheduled approximately every six weeks for each judge. Counsel and/or the parties will receive written notice of the scheduling of these events from the Court Administration Office.
