How to Request a Transcript
- Complete Request for Transcript or Copy General or Criminal Form
- NOTE: Expedited, Daily and Same-Day Transcript requests require court approval. The request for such transcripts shall be filed with the appropriate filing office and served upon the presiding judge and assigned court reporter/monitor at least ten (10 days) prior to the scheduled proceeding.
- File the original Request for Transcript or Copy Form with the appropriate filing office (i.e., Clerk of Judicial Records-Civil Division, Clerk of Judicial Records-Criminal Division, Orphans' Court, or the Domestic Relations Section) based upon the specific case type.
- The requesting party shall also serve copies of the Request for Transcript or Copy Form upon:
- the Judge presiding over the matter; and
- the Court Reporter
by delivering (2) copies to the Court Administrator's Office located in Room 614; and
- Opposing counsel or the opposing party, if not represented.
- The Court Reporter shall prepare, file, and deliver the transcript upon:
- the approval of the Presiding Judge; and
- full and proper payment of deposits and balance due by the requesting party to the appropriate filing office in accordance with the order of the Presiding Judge.
How to Request a Copy of Any Transcript Made Prior to Filing the Transcript of Record
- Complete Request for Transcript or Copy General or Criminal Form and select "Yes" under IV, "Are you requesting a transcript that has been ordered by another party, not yet filed?"
- File the original Request for Transcript or Copy Form with the appropriate filing office (i.e., Clerk of Judicial Records-Civil Division, Clerk of Judicial Records-Criminal Division, Orphans' Court, or the Domestic Relations Section) based upon the specific case type.
- The requesting party shall also serve copies of the Request for Transcript Form upon:
- the Judge presiding over the matter; and
- the Court Reporter
by delivering (2) copies to the Court Administrator's Office located in Room 614; and
- Opposing counsel or the opposing party, if not represented.
- The Court Reporter shall deliver the transcript upon:
- complete transcript payment and full and proper payment of copy fees.
How to Request a Copy of Any Transcript Previously Ordered, Transcribed, and Filed of Record
- Complete Request for Transcript or Copy General or Criminal Form and select "Yes" under IV, "Are you requesting a copy of an existing transcript?"
- File the original Request for Transcript or Copy Form with the appropriate filing office (i.e., Clerk of Judicial Records-Civil Division, Clerk of Judicial Records-Criminal Division, Orphans' Court, or the Domestic Relations Section) based upon the specific case type.
- The appropriate filing office shall provide the transcript upon:
- full and proper payment of copy fees.
