Requests to postpone or continue Divorce proceedings are processed by Family Court Administration.
To request to postpone or continue an initial telephone conference, settlement conference or Hearing scheduled before the Divorce Hearing Officer, contact the Family Court Office at 610-782-3820 for further instructions.
Requests to postpone or continue a Hearing on a Divorce Motion/Petition scheduled with a Common Pleas Judge must be submitted on a completed Family Court Continuance Application.
Submit the completed Continuance Application by visiting the Lehigh County File & Serve website.
Completed Continuance Applications are reviewed by a Judge and can be granted or denied. Granted applications will be assigned a new court date. Denied applications will remain as scheduled. You will receive a copy of the filed Continuance Application via email and/or mail.
