Legal actions regarding the ending of family relationships are managed by the Lehigh County Family Court Division. Court services for Child Custody, Divorce, and Protection From Abuse (domestic violence) are located in Room 423 of the Courthouse.

The Family Court Office provides intake assistance for persons seeking a Protection From Abuse Order (PFA). For additional information about PFA procedures, click here.

The Family Court Office provides forms and information for people without attorneys who want to start a custody case. Forms and instructions for filing for Child Custody are available at the Self Help Section. For additional information about child custody, click here.

The Family Court Office does not provide information for filing for divorce. Forms and instructions for filing for divorce are available at the Self Help Section. These forms are suggested only for persons without property, assets or debts. Individuals with assets or debts should seek the advice of an attorney.
